| | Vista download vista update KB 936181 has installed 6 times on my computer and is waiting to install for the 7th time. each time is recored in the log as successful and rated important. How do I stop this from installing? |

| | RE: Vista download Hi toes, Just because an update is recorded in the log as being successfully installed, it doesn't necessarily mean that it has actually installed correctly. To verify this, download and run the 'Belarc Advisor' (link given below). On first run, you will need to download the latest update files. Please note that it is best to run this program with administrative priviledges. Check the status of KB936181 with this program. If it shows an error then you will need to reinstall this update. This time, manually run 'Windows Update', but run it with administrative priviledges. Download and install the update again. Remember to check its status with Belarc. If you still have problems, then try logging on with an administrative account and continue from there. It in not in my log 10 times. In about 1 minute is again show that it is ready in install again. every time that it was downloaded and installed is never shows up in the Belarc advisor. I guess that I need a little more help |
