smart card credential provider

How do I enable smart card credential provider so i can use SC and
certificates. I have a AXalto .NET card that supports base CSP. I have a
gemplus reader that seems to be installed when I view it via the device
manager. What else needs to happen, so that when I insert a SC, I get
prompted for the PIN?

RE: smart card credential provider

What is it that you want to do with the smart card: log on, encrypt files,
etc.?

Thanks.
