burning movies

when I try to burn a movie on a dvd burner I keep getting a message saying
that com surragote has stopped working and it closes my programs. what is it
and why does it keep happening. I can watch the movies on divx and other
programs. Hope someone can help me. it says something about DEP data
encrytion protection
