| | Vista not recognizing NAV I have done a clean install of Norton Internet Security, and after two restarts, Vista still doesn't recognize that I have an antivirus program running. Is there a way to get it to recognize my AV software so that it doesn't show I'm "unprotected"? |

Run as administrator. Method 1: winmgmt /verifyrepository If WMI repository is reported to be inconcistent, run the following command: winmgmt /salvagerepository Method 2: net stop winmgmt /y ren %windir%\system32\wbem\repository %windir%\system32\wbem\repository.old (make sure there is a space between the two paths) Then restart.
