| | error code 80073712 I was told that I couyld not update my operating system. The error code was 80073712. The actual update was KB942615. I have not had problems before with updates. Any advice from the gurus? |

| | Re: error code 80073712 What if I don't have a pending.xml file in that directory? I can't reinstall the updater because it returns that same error when I try. I am using Vista Home Premium, by the way. If that still fails to resolve the issue, see if you can manually download this update, save it, close all programs and browsers, and then attempt to install it by running as Admin: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/r...DisplayLang=en Click the *correct* Version of Vista listed on that page to access the update.
