| Guest | ATI TV Tuners I heard mid August, was the next release date for RC1 but, I would say that was from a third party source. Please make RC1 capable of most or all PCI and ATI's 9600 TV Tuner cards compatible with this release. And I hope Networking makes a few leaps. I understand the need for security but lets get real. I still use dial-up and I can't seem to go to the same page twice without re-dialing. -- Crashed |

| Guest | Re: ATI TV Tuners errr... Are you asking us here in the NG to make RC1 "capible of most or all PCI TV Tuner Cards"? First of all...no one here really has that ability, as we are all users like you. As of yet, I have seen little to zero participation here from anyone involved in Vista developement... Secondly, it is not MicroSoft that needs to do what you want, but the makers of the cards, such as ATI. Go write to THEM...on a side note there, there is no such thing as an ATI 9600 TV Card. There is an ATI Radeon 9600 Graphics (video) card, and an ATI Radeon 9600 All-In-Wonder Graphics card, but no PCI Radeon TV Tuner Card. There are TV Wonder PCI cards. Now, I have both the Radeon 9600 and the Radeon 9600 All-In-Wonder cards AND a TV Wonder PCI card and all 3 work just fine in Windows Vista Beta2 x64. I think I even used the drivers that came on the system disk. (I can't imagine that the x86 would be any different, but it is possible, and someone else will have to help you there.) But I have no problems running either of those 3 cards in Windows Vista. Maybe reinstall Vista and try again... If you need drivers for the Radeon 9600, here is the beta driver link for Vista from ATI, which took me all of 5 seconds to find on ATI's website: https://support.ati.com/ics/support/...&folderID=5712 "Sparkie" <Sparkie@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:93A4D819-F1C0-4AA8-A6DD-14150E9B4919@microsoft.com... >I heard mid August, was the next release date for RC1 but, I would say that > was from a third party source.
