Security Centre wrongly reports dual antivirus programs

My Security Centre is wrongly reporting that dual antivirus programs are
installed and switched OFF - PC-cillin (which WAS installed) & AVG (which IS
installed and switched ON).

How do I correct this? (I have filed a bug report)

RE: Security Centre wrongly reports dual antivirus programs

Found the exact same problem here. I had to manually edit the registry to
remove the entry for the non existant antivirus program.

RE: Security Centre wrongly reports dual antivirus programs

Hmm I searched the registry for PC-cillin and Trend Micro. I thought I'd
deleted everything. Better go look again.

I have the same issue. I've installed AVG and then uninstalled it due
incompatibility problems with RC1 and then installed TrendMicro PCCillin, but
now Security Center says I've 2 antivirus: AVG and PC Cillin. How remove AVG
from the Security Center?

In the end I reformatted the partition and did a new clean install

Re: Security Centre wrongly reports dual antivirus programs

thanks, I have the same problem. I deleted the apparent program entries in
the registry but it still shows up. Any other entries that I should look
for? thanks

RE: Security Centre wrongly reports dual antivirus programs

I did this but after a driver "crash" security centre started reporting
incorrectly again!
