How to share files on C drive

I am having issues sharing files located on the C drive of my host computer.
Both computers are running Vista Ultimate SP1. I have set up the sharing,
but I get access denied when I attempt to access the files. Any suggestions
on what I need to change to fix this?

RE: How to share files on C drive

This definitely works to give you unrestricted access across the network,
make Everyone appear in the Security Tab, as follows:
Right-click Computer > Manage > Storage > Disk Management then right-click
the drive graphic > Properties > Security Tab > Edit > Add then type
‘Everyone’ (not the quotes) and below it select your preferences, e.g. Read
or Full Control. Now Apply, OK, etc. to finish.

Re: How to share files on C drive

I have tried that, but will attempt it again, as I see that with VISTA
almost nothing works on the first try.
