| | after malware removal computer is slow what could be causing my computer to boot up so slowly? If anything i thought it would be faster since I just removed a bunch of spyware and a virus too. I had to use stopzilla because live one care was not detecting it .I could see a trojan in my files so I bought stopzilla and it found no less than 34 infections, I removed them all and now is when i actually notice weird behavior from my computer. any suggestions? thank you. |

Then you need to implement a security concept for the future in order to keep malware out instead of relying on removal tools. |

| | Re: after malware removal computer is slow to: engel, thanks for your suggestion but the link you provided is no longer available and microsoft support(posts)does not have any info on actually recovering after removal of malware, at least i couldnt find any and to: straight talk , i guess i never did verify my comp.is clean now because i dont know how, where can i find instructions on how to make sure my computer is clean? i though by running one care and stopzilla together along with windows defender it would be sufficient, but my computer is definetly acting weird and i would like to know how to" flatten and rebuild" thank you all so much -- "Straight Talk" wrote: Quote: > On Sat, 17 May 2008 15:10:00 -0700, newbie > <newbie@xxxxxx> wrote: > Quote: > >what could be causing my computer to boot up so slowly? | | Re: after malware removal computer is slow thanks victek ,i did run spybot and did find additional spyware! dont know why im suprised, however my computer is still acting funny so i uninstalled stopzilla because thats when the really weird behavior began, but i dont know if maybe it removed something that was not supposed to be removed or if stopzilla itself was the problem, its only been a few hours since removal of sz and my computer is running much faster but ill need time to see if it helped the weird behavior at all, its strange how i didnt notice any weirdness until after i installed sz, but sz DID find and remove desktop virii which i could see but couldnt remove before sz soo... maybe sraight talk was right and i should flatten and rebuild. thank you. -- "Victek" wrote: Quote: Quote: > > what could be causing my computer to boot up so slowly?
