| | Antivirus 2008 Is this an actual microsoft product? I keep getting this message on the computer saying I need to downloan Antivirus 2008 and that it has found many viruses on my PC. When I looked up the file location it comes up in C:\users\AppData\Roamong\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu It is causing problems on the PC and looks like it just was created a few days ago. I can't get into e-mail because it says there is a threat and won't let me continue. I tried to delete the file but I couln't find it when I went into my computer. There was no App Data file that I could see. I have Norton antivirus installed and I ran a scan on the file but got nothing. I want to get rid of this but don't knwo how. Can anyone help? |

| Vista Home Premium | Re: Antivirus 2008 It is difficult to say anything regarding this as you have mention only Anti Virus 2008 however you may isolate if the issue is caused by Norton. Disable the Norton 2008 from the startup and check. 1. Click Start Peal button . 2. In search button type " msconfig " 3. In the system configuration window click on startup tab at top. 4. Uncheck the Norton that you find 5. Click on Apply and ok to close the window 6. Restart the PC. |

| | Re: Antivirus 2008 I wanted to thank you. I did what you said and it looks like the malware is gone. I never hit the okay button when it wanted me to continue with the program. I don't know if that means anything but I knew it wasn't a Norton program and I was leary of it. But the good thing is that it is GONE! Thanks again! | | RE: Antivirus 2008 Here is the web site that offers the product http://www.vav2008.com/ I installed it and am trying to get my money back to no avail. I told them that I was going to report it to the attorney general, better business bureau and chamber of commerce. I think I am out the $68 + they charged me - not the original amount they said they would charge ($38). "Laurie" wrote: Quote: > Is this an actual microsoft product?
