Vista Security on second HDD

having updated to Windows Vista X64 Ultimate, I used it to encrypt my
secondary drive, unfortunately due to a couple of problems with the install
I've had to roll back to Windows XP Pro, is there any way to retrieve all the
info on the second drive or do I need to re-install Vista?

Re: Vista Security on second HDD

If you don't have a backup copy of the original encryption key or a recovery certificate,
you won't be able to access your encrypted files. Reinstalling Vista won't work either since
the security ID will be different.
