    Firewall warning in domain environment

    Situation
Windows Vista keep's giving us messages that Windows Firewall isn't turned on.
"Turn on now" gives: Security Center can't turn on Windows Firewall.
Manually, via update settings now, shows: Windows Firewall was unable to
    make the requested updates.

Windows Firewall is on, is showed ON, in the Windows Firewall screen, but
also "Windows is not using the recommended settings".

Windows Firewall is turned of, appears in the Windows Security Center.

Pc's are in a domain, tested on various scenarios, different
    customers/domains, allways the same error.

Servers are Windows SBS2003, all updates, cougar updates, vista gpo.

RSOP shows the correct settings on the desktop.

Client computers are Windows Vista ultimates and business.

Computers are mostly Fujitsu Siemens, with the recommended HW.
    Current Antivirus is Sophos.

Can someone help us out here? I cannot believe we are the only one who has
this issue, googled for 4 hours did not find anything...

Any suggestions would be are welcome.

Have you tried to reset the FW? The reset works the same way on Vista.
