| | CA eTrust Antivirus (Vista version) I have a years free subscription to the CA eTrust antivurus for windows Vista and I have installed the latest beta. Every time I start the OS, Windows Defender blocks two of the task bar programs from running; "CA AntiVirus System Tray Application" and "CA ISS Dashboard Tray". If I open Windows Defender and look at startup programs, each of these programs is show as permitted, but the "Remove", "Disable" and "Enable" buttons are greyed out. How do I stop these programs being blocked? |

| | Re: CA eTrust Antivirus (Vista version) Disable UAC. Far as I can tell, that's the only way. As a side note: the concept behind UAC is wonderful. The way it is implemented in Vista is evil. ---- "Hurricane" Andrew "danp" <danp@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:E89E909D-7B42-408D-995C-25971F501F79@microsoft.com... > yeah, i have the same trouble here > > funny to see the recommandation for vista about antivirus and vista block > it > > how to fix that? > > "Martin" wrote: > >> I have a years free subscription to the CA eTrust antivurus for windows >> Vista and I have installed the latest beta.
