ad aware

I updated and ran ad aware free. It had 4 MRUs and I just deleted them
Then I shut down my machine for a couple of hours. Now I have no sound. Can
I get back what I deleted and can I fix my Vista Ultimate desktop?

It is very unlikely that Ad-aware had anything to do with losing your sound
since MRU stands for "Most Recently Used" and those files are not sound
card driver files.

However, Ad-aware does have a "quarantine" where you can restore the files
it deleted. Read its Help file for further details.

If that doesn't work, reinstall your sound card drivers.
