Opening a port?

ok i have windows vista home premium and i want to open a port for Utorrent because it says that the port it is trying to use is blocked ive tried useing different ports so i gave up on trying to find an open one so how do you open a port? my E-mail is neobreaker61631@yahoo.com so please E-mail me ur answers or post them here lol

Goto contol panel/ firewall/ change settings/ exceptions then click on add port you will need to add your utorrent port for tcp and udp click ok on all the dialogs and your port should be open.
