Local Policies in Home Premium

I'm currently trying to connect to my Univerity's Intranet, they have a tutorial on how to change the policies in XP Home, Pro but not Vista.

I have to:
  • Change the 'Security: LAN Manager Authentication Level'
    • to "Send NTLMv2 Response only. Refuse LM and NTLM."
But I cannot for the life of me find the security policy application in Admin Tools, nor is the registry screenshots any help from the Tutorial. Can anyone shed light on how to do this?

1. Run the registry editor (regedit) and open this key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Lsa

1. If it doesn't already exist, create a DWORD value named
LmCompatibilityLevel

3. Set the value to 1

4. Reboot
