    Security update bug??

I find that Explorer hangs several times a day since I recently updated the
    security fix.
    Anyone else with this problem?

No, I don't have that problem since I use Mozilla Firefox. :-)

Same here (for a couple of years now)... and it hangs occasionally as
well, so don't try to say it doesn't.

You use Mozilla as a shell?

If so then it is really big shell. IE has all of HTML and Dynamic HTML and
other protocols (such as ftp) and much more that the Windows Explorer does
not have. Most of that is in SHDocVw.dll and most of the shell, which is the
Windows API stuff that the Windows Explorer does, is in a different dll.

One thing they have in common is that enumeration of shell windows does
    provide IE windows.

When Explorer crashes Internet Explorer does the same thing at the same
    time. End Of Tape

Unless you have more direct evidence of what you are saying, then I will
ignore further comments. There are other possible explanations for why they
might be restarted at the same time. You will likely want to make a final
    comment so go ahead.
