| Windows Vista Home Premium | Group Policy Editor HELP :] Hello... I have a problem with this. i am trying to open Group Policy editor and i cant. i have done it the quick mode and also in administrative tools > edit group policy and it appears this message : ''MMC cannot open the file C:\Windows\System32\gpedit.msc. This may be because the file does not exist, is not an MMC console, or was created by a later version of MMC. this may also be because you do not have sufficiento acces rights to the file'' I am in an administrator account and i have Windows Vista Home Premium . Any help! Thanks |

How about posting a third time in this thread, and this time include *all* the information about your computer and what you are trying to do. Here's an example of what I'm talking about: "I have an HP [model#] laptop running Vista Home Premium with no Service Packs. Since [insert some time frame] it has [insert good description of the problem]. I noticed this problem after [insert good description of what changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't]. I have [name of your antivirus/security programs] and scans showed [result]. Here's what I've already done to troubleshoot [insert that information]." Then we'll be able to give you the focused help you'd like. Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ |
