Windows Defender

Vista Home Premium SP 1, WLM 14v
Today Windows Defender icon shows up in task bar with an exclamation mark. I
went and clicked Check for update. It came back saying no new definition is
available. But the icon with exclamation mark remains in task bar. Any idea
why ? Any cause for concern ? Thank you.

Re: Windows Defender

Your internet connection may have glitched, sometimes
Defender does that..... used to happen here when I had
a really poor internet connection. Open Defender and
see if it ran the scan.

To Charles and Spirit,
Yes, Windows Defender is On...... see screenshot.
I also did a scan, it did not tell me anything. ............ also see

I also clicked History, both Allowed Items and Quarantined Items boxes are
blank.
