Vista - Windows 7 Anti-Virus

Any idea if Windows 7 will have an anti-virus program?

It won't have anti virus protection by default, no. You will need to install
a third party anti virus application. If you want something free then you
could try the free version of AVG or Avast.

The links other posters have provided refer to 'Morro' the replacement for
OneCare which was a separate application from Microsoft. OneCare itself was
never very popular, hence its swift removal. I haven't seen Morro so I can't
comment, but I gather it will be free. (unless there is a change of mind at
Microsoft)

It will have windows defender by default. But romours say that MS will add their own Live One Care.

I have tried NOD32, avast, avg and norton on win 7. they all work fine.

Dinesh, not all running at the same time, I hope. That is a recipe for
disaster. I currently use NOD32 but I certainly would use Norton or McAfee,
both are system hoggers.
