| Vista Home Premium 32 bit | Data Execution Prevention Not sure if this is the correct area to post this or not. I am getting a Data Execution Prevention (DEP) warning when I try and start Itunes. And can not open the program. A Help window pops up telling me that DEP has prevented me from opening the program for my own protect and explains how to add programs should I like. It tells me I need to add the program to the safe list, by clicking the Add button. Only when I go to do this the add button is grey and unclickable. How do I get it to be usable? DEP has caused me probems with other programs recently as well. Have they updated it, and screwed something up? Windsows is becoming like "big brother" not allowing me to open programs I have given permission to down load and use for my own good. Vista is one big pain in the butt, always having to click permission for everything. Like I was not thinking when I said Ok the first time it feels the need to make sure I know what I am doing. |

| | Re: Data Execution Prevention Did you monkey with the DEP settings? By default it is set for system files only. Did you set it for all programs? If so, go to the settings screen and put in an exclusion there. -- Richard Urban Microsoft MVP Windows Desktop Experience "evensteven" <guest@xxxxxx-email.com> wrote in message news:32e31a4d16bd021e0d85da8e4e929fe3@xxxxxx-gateway.com...
