Re: bypass bitlocker?

Unless you have a TPM chip on your motherboard the bitlocker password will
be stored on a USB stick. You created this when you enabled bitlocker and
the machine will not boot without first inserting that USB stick. You should
also have a printed version of your password available. If you don't have
either then the data cannot be access. However, you might like to take a
look at this link to see if the bitlocker recovery password view will help:
http://www.brighthub.com/computing/s...les/32511.aspx I
haven't personally tried it so I can't comment on its effectiveness.

I'm not familiar with that model, but if it has a TPM you can't just
update the BIOS like that. A hash of the boot code is part of the
authentication to allow booting. Can you revert back to your old BIOS
code?

Re: bypass bitlocker?

Call it Microsoft Security 866 727 2338 Hotline for assistance, any further
tweaks you would do with bitlocker + tpm tech would case some serious
concern
