| | Re: bypass bitlocker? Unless you have a TPM chip on your motherboard the bitlocker password will be stored on a USB stick. You created this when you enabled bitlocker and the machine will not boot without first inserting that USB stick. You should also have a printed version of your password available. If you don't have either then the data cannot be access. However, you might like to take a look at this link to see if the bitlocker recovery password view will help: http://www.brighthub.com/computing/s...les/32511.aspx I haven't personally tried it so I can't comment on its effectiveness. -- -- John Barnett MVP Windows XP Associate Expert Windows Desktop Experience Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org Web: http://www.silversurfer-guide.com The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is". A hash of the boot code is part of the authentication to allow booting. Can you revert back to your old BIOS code? |

Call it Microsoft Security 866 727 2338 Hotline for assistance, any further tweaks you would do with bitlocker + tpm tech would case some serious concern "Mipaan" <Mipaan@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:FA70E557-CF5C-4C54-AE69-56D7F4ECBEB5@xxxxxx Quote: > Hei, > > I have xp and Vista in same computer (hp 8510p) > I updated xp wireless driver and bios and then when i´m try go vista side, > it ask password for bitlocker, i have the password but it wont work?? > pasword id have change somehow??? > How i can bypass the bitlocker? > |
