Thanks. There's no BIOS update. Unfortunately, Dell has a policy against
releasing anything to support beta software, even for their "Vista-ready"
laptops. ("not quite Vista-ready but will be by 2007" didn't get past
marketing).
I noticed that under TPM Management, TPM commands, commands 152 and 153 (& a
number of others) show as "blocked" and help claims that they can be
unblocked under "group management" (don't know where) However, I'm assuming
they were correctly blocked by Vista because the BIOS (or the TPM firmware?)
does not support what Vista needs it to do, even though it's a 1.2 tpm, and
I shouldn't try to unblock.
