Err no you moron - there might have been far more to the OP's question than
he cared to tell us.
Idiot.

It's not that easy to disable just the UAC alert, without turning it all
off.

Open regedit and make your way to:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center

You'll need to create a new Dword (32-bit) called UACDisableNotify, and give
it a value of 1 (either hex or dec).

To enable it again at a later date, just delete the key.

Gordons question was indeed valid. You're a jerk and Justin's arrogant
approach doesn't deserve any help.

If you turned it off, you did the right thing.

Now, if you hate all the seemingly endless disk grinding that occurs
when you reboot/restart, look at turning off Superfetch.

Works great here... and I've notice NO slowdown in performance.

There never was a UAC problem. You got yourself some other problems
now, but who cares...

Fair enough. Having read those previously, I didn't recall anything that
addresses his "problem" specifically.

....doesn't mean that they weren't there though.

Yeah, sure you would. Let me guess, you own your own company and do
what you want, right?
