| | Security Centre says Defender not working - but it is! This has happened with each install (RC1 and 2x RC2 on same PC). Security centre worked OK initially but after some crash during install (e.g. trying to get Visio 2007 beta to work, the security centre kept telling me the firewall or "malware" was not installed / working - but it was, and up to date. With defender it tried to lad an update - but defender was already up to date. This has happened with 3 installs (also have AVG 7.5 which seem OK). how can I tell the security centre things ARE working when it thinks they are not but they actually are working? |

| | Re: Security Centre says Defender not working - but it is! Simply open the Security Center and select "Change the way security center alerts me". Then turn off notification. -- Dave "Mel_P" <MelP@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8C62CE4C-544E-4C9A-9EF2-146B3427E8BA@microsoft.com... > This has happened with each install (RC1 and 2x RC2 on same PC).
