| | Windows Security Alert Using Vista Home Premium and Internet Explorer 7. When on the internet, I'm getting a popup titled "Windows Security Alert." It says my computer is infected with: Admess.trojan zserv.Transponder.Trojan and others. It wants me to download a remover from promalwarescannerv2.com. I'm running McAfee Total Protection, but when I do a system scan it says all is OK. I did a system restore, but it comes back later. What's going on? CB -- C and A Bredt |

CB Do you see these popup every time browsing the web?. If yes, you are probably infected with malware (ex. browser hijacker). /Jesper |

| | Re: Windows Security Alert Your computer is infected with malware. McAfee, like most of the security suites, is not effective against many infections. Download and run both of the following programs (free versions). Malwarebytes http://malwarebytes.org/ Superantispyware http://www.superantispyware.com/ I recommend also installing SpywareBlaster which will give you additional ongoing protection. http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html -- "C and A Bredt" <abredt_at-delete-this@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:%23OQnZUNCKHA.1340@xxxxxx Quote: > Using Vista Home Premium and Internet Explorer 7. | | Re: Windows Security Alert Start Internet Explorer in Safe Mode. See if the pop-up returns. If it is gone, it is a Spyware Add-Onn wich you can easily disable/delete.
