RE: can not open files copied from XP

You may need to take ownership of the files while logged in as Administrator.
I havent fooled enough with Vista to see the following instructions differ
from other windows versions, but right click on the folder you are being
denied access to, and select Properties, click the Security tab and then
click the Advanced button. Go to the Owner tab select Administrator and check
the box and take ownership. Then grant all users Full Control.

RE: can not open files copied from XP

I can do all you say, besides the last part...
there is say's:
"
object name: D:\vanbureablad voor vista
You do not have permission to view this objec's owner. To try again using a
different administrator account, close this dialog box and log on using the
other account.
"

note: I am loged in on the 1 and only (administrator) account on my pc.

please help :s
