Password protect Zip files

Hi All

In windows XP I could password protect a zip file, does anyone know how to
do this in vista business or if it is even possible?

I don't know, but are you aware that zip file password protection is very
weak? If it was removed, this is probably why.

There's always WINZIP itself -- up to Version 11 now

Lionel,

Are you referring to WinZip? At least from 9.0 SR1 and agove, encryption can
be either based on Zip 2.0 compatible, 128-bit AES or 256-bit AES. Ultimately
it is as secure as the password that guards it (the contents in the
compressed file).

No, Lionel and the original poster were referring to the native
Zip Folders in XP and Vista.
