| | Windows Defender - enable I have just installed a new piece of software (Corel Friends and Family) that I would like to have start automatically (by default this should happen when it is installed). Windows Defender reprost the app as being "Not yet classified" and therefore won't start it. When I open windows defender all the options for this app are greyed out until I choose "Show for all suers" then Remove and Disable are active, but Enable isn't. Is there any way to force Windows Defender to accept this program and Enable it? Jeff |

| | RE: Windows Defender - enable Cheeto, I found a way to submit the request to have the program recognized - but the reporting system responded with a message saying that it was for companies/developers use... so no resolution yet. | | Re: Windows Defender - enable I am having a similar problem with DYNDNS Updater, which Defender is blocking at startup. "Enable" is grayed out so there seems to be no way to manually override the blocking action. As administrator, it would seem logical that if I want to override a setting I should be able to. Is there a work around for this? | | I was wondering if anyone has found a solution to this? I am in a Corporate Environment where we run some some small applications on the desktops which cannot be enabled because "ENABLE" it is grayed out in Windows Defender. |
