64 bit Antivirus

I've tried to install both the newest Norton and One Care and get the
message that they do not support this version of Windows. I'm running the
64 bit version of Vista. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Re: 64 bit Antivirus

I'm using AVAST 4, the free version. Seems to work well.

Re: 64 bit Antivirus

One care will not work with X64. The newest update for Norton Antivirus
makes it work with X64 - I'm running NIS 2007.2 with X64.

Re: 64 bit Antivirus : Avast.

current Avast Home Edition is free for personal use, is a reliable real-time
protection and it has built in native x64 as well as x86 and of course Vista
support.

Unlike Norton or other huge "suites" this is only a small app which doesn't
eat up your resources..

There is only one version out for all cpus, it detects automatically when
setup starts.

Give it a try.
