See the replies in the new post you made. FYI, in general it's not a good
idea to post a question onto another person's thread, unless it's a follow
up question to that person. Create a new thread, as you did latter, with
your issue.

Re: Anti-Virus Software

I have switched to AVG, but my computer (Vista) will not respond when I
attempt to uninstall McAfee. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Personally I would format and reinstall Vista to get rid of McAfee
completely. Or check to see if you have a Restore Point created before
McAfee was installed. If you do you could use it to roll-back.

That's easy. NEVER install _anything_ which originates via McAfee
(original concoction, or aqquired). Even so far back as 1996 (and, quite
probably earlier, also), McAfee had an "attitude". I made up my mind,
back then, to never use anything "McAfee" again.

Re: Anti-Virus Software

You should uninstall McAfee before installing any other AV product..

When uninstalling McAfee, start with the individual components first, and
finish up with McAfee security center..
