error 1402

I posted this message in another Vista newsgroup and received no responses.
I'm getting an error 1402 when I try and install Office 2003 [on a clean
install]. Seems I can't open the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run\OptionalComponents\MSFS.
Verify that you have sufficient permission....
I do have permission. I am the only user, administrator, yada, yada, yada.

What do I have to do to change the permissions. I've already changed the
"allow" under permissions [when delving into the registry].

Re: error 1402

Can you please try running the install "elevated"?

Right click the setup.exe and select run as administrator from the popup
menu. Say continue on the dialog if one pops up...
