| Guest | Administrator problem in vista ultimate 32 I have setup only one account in vista 32 bit unltimate and vista says that i am not the adeministrator, but in user accounts i am the administrator. If i go into safe mode and try to log in as administrator then vista says that the administrator account has been blocked. So i am not able to download e.g. adobe acrobat reader and although the drivers are installed i cant connect to my mobile phone through usb. I hope someone can help me with this matter. |

| Guest | Re: Administrator problem in vista ultimate 32 Administrator account is disable by default when you install Windows Vista. You must enable the account in order to use it. Log in with your current account, right Click on My Computer, click on Manage, click on User, clear the check on Account is Disable, set the password for Administrator account. Log out and log in with Administrator. | Guest | Re: Administrator problem in vista ultimate 32 True, but doing so is a security risk and turns off many useful security protections. If it says you are an adminstrator in user accounts, you are in fact an administrator but the programs you run are run as a standard user unless you give them specific rights to run as administrator. This process is called User Account Control and is a key (but not only) part of the new security scheme is Windows Vista. If a program you want to run doesn't work, try right clicking on it and selecting "Run as administrator". If that fails, try turning off User Account Control in the User Accounts section. I suggest you turn User Account Control back on later after you have your computer setup. -- /* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Robert Firth * * Windows Vista x86 RTM * * http://www.WinVistaInfo.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * */ "Toan Pham" <toan.pham@wonderware.com> wrote in message news:C1F3CA5F.3159%toan.pham@wonderware.com... > Administrator account is disable by default when you install Windows > Vista. > You must enable the account in order to use it.
