| | Using IIS on Vista IIS installed but when I try to run asp pages I get a 401.2 - Unauthorized error. I can't see where you set directory security in IIS7, it's nothing like IIS6. Any ideas? Can I use IIS6 on VIsta? Thanks. |

| | RE: Using IIS on Vista IIS is a Windows component. The version of that Windows component that ships with Vista is 7.0. So, no, you can't use IIS 6 on Vista. Most likely you have not enabled dynamic content. You need to do so during the installation of IIS. | | Re: Using IIS on Vista Should have noticed immediately, but 401.2 means that the client and server cannot agree on an authentication protocol. Check out this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/907273. It should help you configure it properly. "Smiffy" wrote: > Dynamic content is definately enabled.
