Antivirus

I have just recently Upgrade my Windows XP home Edition to Windows Vista
Premium. Installation everything is fine. But my problem is my AT&T Yahoo
Antivirus is turn off automatically. Is Windows Vista have Anitvirus on it? Is
it okay to leave it off my AT&T Yahoo antivirus off?

RE: Antivirus

No. Windows Vista does not have AV built in. You need to get a package that
works with Vista. Most of the vendors, such as McAfee, Symantec, Trend, CA,
Sophos, F-Secure, and so on all have AV that works with Vista now.

You should have removed the AV program before doing the update. You need to
uninstall it, and hopefully it will uninstall. Vista does not come with an
AV program, it comes with Defender which is for non viral malware. You do
need to run an AV program that is compatible with Vista. There are several
available among which are Avast and AVG (both free), and NOD32.

Re: Antivirus

Best one based on feedback...... Nod32 right now .... Trend's PcCillian
is a bit hoggy honestly and their CSM suite doesn't support Vista yet.

Re: Antivirus

Dude

The At&T software that you have is incompatible with Vista, per AT&T. New
update will be available sometime in March or early April. They didn't seem
to think anyone was going to use Vista and are way behind.

The only choice you have to you something free for the time being and notify
AT&T that you want an upgrade disk sent to you when it is available.

Good luck.
