Blue screen caused by spyware

I don't know if this is vista related or just my spyware, but i keep getting
a blue screen that restarts my computer. once restarted windows says that the
unexpected shutdown was cause by my spyware "webroot spysweeper." I went to
their website and it says to upgrade, but i have the most recent version
which was installed when i got this new computer.....which was when vista
came out (so less than a month ago.) but i don't know much about computers,
so if anybody can help that is great?

Why do you use Spysweeper? Vista comes with Windows Defender that is works
better than Spysweeper.

Uninstall Spysweeper and see if that solves the problem. If it does,
don't use Spysweeper at this time.

RE: Blue screen caused by spyware

It was in a software package from circuit city that was offered to me when I
purchased this notebook. I didn't pursue any other options or know of any.

Same Problem

I got my new hp pavilion TV pc 3 days after the release of windows vista and had to return it two days later because it kept gving me blue screens, and then just stoped working all together. I got the same computer again. Im getting blue screens and the computer keeps telling me it was caused by spy sweeper, so we're on the same boat. It's really anoying but im working on contacting spy sweeper directly to at least tell them about the problem. But if anyone can come up with a solution please let me know too!
