| | Run everything as admin = disable UAC ? Hi, I would like to be able to run everything as admin without each time selecting "Run as administrator". Is disabling the UAC enough in order to achieve that or are there other settings to change ? If that is enough, why can't Vista detect the UAC is not activated and therefore remove the "Run as admin" from the contextual menu ? This would be less confusing. Thanx for your time. |

Hi, Try to change UAC behavior ... secpol.msc -> Security Settings -> Local Policy -> Security Options: UAC: Behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators ... - and set it on Elevate without prompting value Marcin Domaslawski "Ceesharp" <Ceesharp@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4D2158A8-6E2E-4DBF-8BE2-AAD3585E7C50@microsoft.com... > Hi, > > I would like to be able to run everything as admin without each time > selecting "Run as administrator". After you reboot run the attachment and answer YES, to turn off the warnings and then reboot once more. You are now set. |
