| Guest | Securing USB Keys I just bought a Sandisk Cruzer Micro USB flash with U3 on board. I chose this one because of the ability to password protect, but the U3 software is incompat with Vista. A U3 update from Sandisk's site does not help. The Cruzer is, however, available as a removable drive. Is there some way I can password protect this flash drive? Barring that, is there a device that *will* work securely with Vista? Thanks! |

The latest update works fine here. Having just done some reading on this issue, it seems that U3 USB drives with firmware versions 2.1.5 & 2.2.1 will work on vista, while other versions will not. Still doesn't help me, but at least it's a known entity. > > "Sandino" <sandy@google.com> wrote in message > news:OTpzhJkVHHA.392@TK2MSFTNGP06.phx.gbl... >> >> "Sandino" <sandy@google.com> wrote in message >> news:uaTWxHkVHHA.4028@TK2MSFTNGP04.phx.gbl... >>>I just bought a Sandisk Cruzer Micro USB flash with U3 on board.
