| Guest | User login issue Hi I installed vista. It asked me to enter a username at start and I chose John. I then wanted to login as administrator but unlike xp I couldn't find a way to make it display a login screen at start. So I deleted the user john. When I logged off I did get the option to login as another user. I tried Administrator and no password but that did not work. I then tried to login as John but couldn't as this user is deleted. I am now stuck outside vista unable to login. Is there any way to login or do I have to delete vista and reinstall again? Thanks Regards |

No, I believe someone else suggested trying the Administrator account from Safe Mode - or try it from the recovery tools on the Vista install disk. | Guest | Re: User login issue The "administrator" account is purposely disabled. The account you created during the install is an administrator. | Guest | Re: User login issue I did this too. Unless you've enabled the administrator account or have another user account enabled you're stuck. I ended up reinstalling and then enabling the administrator account first thing so it wouldn't happen again.
