| | Problem with Putty Hi, I've a problem to run Putty correctly. I set Windows Firewall to block all outbound traffic, for a security issue. I saw that the matter is about configure the right rules for Putty (i've the same problem with WinScp, so I think i don't enable some services Putty need to run). I've create a rule that enable putty.exe to pass firewall. But i don't know what is less. I hope someone could answer me, Marco |

| | Re: Problem with Putty To resolve (temporarily) the problem i've opened port 22 for every application; my objective was to enable this port only for the applications i want (ie putty and winscp). But when i enabled these to applications, to exit onto every ports (for traffic out), it doesn't work. If you know a better solution, please tell something. Regards Marco |

| | can't access network I have the same problem. I have network access for Internet and email but can't access local servers using WinSCP, PuTTY, FTP, Secure CRT, Access to MySQL, etc. Using these applications always results in a Connection Refused error. I have Windows Firewall set to allow all outbound connections and have opened ports 22 and 3306 (for the Access to MySQL app.) Can't connect. I have turned Windows Firewall off completely and can't connect. In addition, Firefox is unable to access the Internet but IE works fine. Any help will be appreciated. Richard |
