Request Certificate with MMC fails

hi,

i try to request a new certificate with the MMC Snap-In and it fails with
the message "RPC Server is unavailable".
But i'm connected to the network and within the same domain like the CA. I
can ping successfull the CA.

Any ideas about that problem?

Thanx

André

Re: Request Certificate with MMC fails

Are you sure the CA service is running? Are you running XP or Vista client?
On Vista, the following command line shows which CAs are online:
certutil -tcainfo

Re: Request Certificate with MMC fails

Thanks for your response.

I'm running a Vista client. The command line shows me, that the CA has
Status OFFLINE, BUT
on a XP client in the same domain it works with the MMC, so it means that
the CA is realy ONLINE....

Crazy.....

Re: Request Certificate with MMC fails

User account and machine account must be in the same domain.
