| | iTunes 7.1.1 update VBScript In trying to install the iTunes 7.1.1 update it reports that VBScript is either not installed or it's disabled and says to enable it and re-register it but doesn't say how. I have Windows Live One Care for the firewall but I can't find anything in that or in the IE options settings that specifically about VBScript. How do I enable VBScript and re-register it? Thanks! |

| | RE: iTunes 7.1.1 update VBScript Most likely the error is wrong. I don't know where in the process you are getting this error, but did you run the installer elevated? | | Re: iTunes 7.1.1 update VBScript I tried running it with elevated admin and I tried turning off the Windows Live One Care firewall but I still get the message that VBScript either isn't installed or is disabled but no information about how to solve it <sigh>. Any other ideas? In article <1EA2DFE0-3C9F-4CF3-BDF0-CA71CD441452@microsoft.com>, Jesper wrote: > Most likely the error is wrong. | | Re: iTunes 7.1.1 update VBScript Okay, finally found out what the problem was. Apparently the Vista install doesn't register VBScript so I had to find vbscript.dll and regsvr32 it. No idea why the iTunes 7.1 install worked fine without it but 7.1.1 wouldn't. In article <1EA2DFE0-3C9F-4CF3-BDF0-CA71CD441452@microsoft.com>, Jesper wrote: > Most likely the error is wrong. | | Re: iTunes 7.1.1 update VBScript In my case I opened a command prompt and changed to the \windows\system32 directory. Then I entered 'regsvr32 vbscript.dll' (without the quotes).
