| Guest | Folder listing not allowed Hello, Runing vista as Admin I have not the right to list the contents of many folders such as the appdata folders belonging to my account name in c:\Users directory. By rightclicking on the folder, going to the security section and deleting the specific right that denys to list the content of the folder for all users, I can get back to the files. Why does such a right exist even for the own files, and how can I disable this for all folders? Thanks, Jens |

| Guest | Re: Folder listing not allowed As far as I understand deny overrides any access rights granted by any other group membership. It is the best if you find the source of deny and remove it or make it at least not inheritable. It is probably better not to use deny unless you are absolutely need it for the exact reason you have a problem with.
