One Care DEactivates Defender but....

Having One care, does the DEfender still works (or similar), or am i showing
my PC to worms etc....I know ONE CARE disables Defender, but.....is some
other software activated???
Does One care "take care" of this problem?

Is any similar software working and "defending" me, or after installing ONE
CARE, defender is "OUT" and I am EXPOSED?!?!!?

Resuming, Once installed ONE CARE (microsoft), is my PC as protected as
before by Defender (microsoft)?....or is my "butt" Exposed (spanish
expression;-)).

If not, this would be realy anoying........

Yes, with One Care installed you are protected. One Care includes spyware
protection as well as virus protection.

Re: One Care DEactivates Defender but....

OneCare has its own version of Windows Defender, that is why it turns the
one off on your PC. You are covered so don't worry.

RE: One Care DEactivates Defender but....

As a matter of fact Defender is only an antispyware, while OneCare is both
antispyware and antivirus, so you should be better protected.

Re: One Care DEactivates Defender but....

OneCare will disable your Vista copy of Windows Defender and will also
disable the Windows Firewall. It does this because OneCare has its own
version of Windows Defender and Windows Firewall. OneCare is giving you full
protection, so there is no need to worry.
