10:1 odds that it is an add-in. Go disable all the add-ins in IE and then do
what it was that crashed IE. If it still works, re-enable the add-ins one at
a time and try again.

To disable the add-ins, in IT click Tools:Manage add-ons: Enable or disable
Add-ons.
