Vista - Host Error on Bootup

Father inlaw is running Vista Home Premium 64.

He gets this error upon booting.

Where do I start? Where do I find this error and how do I fix it?

Great forums indeed.

This means that a service stopped working. To find out which one:
1. Click the Window button
2. Type "eventvwr.msc" in the search dialog and hit enter
3. Click "Windows logs"
4. Click System
5. In the right-hand pane click System
6. Check "Error" and hit OK.

That should give you all the error messages that were logged. Find the one
that relates to a service crashing and copy it. Paste it back to the
newsgroups and someone can probably help you.
