No escape from Norton!

These bastards got me!
I have Basic vista, and have downloaded AVG and Spyware Blaster, but
Norton seems to be everywhere. How do I uninstall this program for
sure?

There is a 'cleaner tool' you can download from Symantec, they hide it
away because it resets your subscription :-) (or it always used to)

I think this is it:

Re: No escape from Norton!

You need the "Norton Removal Tool". This tool WILL NOT remove all remnants of
the software, however. You will still have to go into your registry, under
all headings, in every "software" listing to look for listings of "Norton"
and "Symantec". Delete them all. You should also check the run listings in
Current User and Local Machine. Your Security Center may still find other
remnants of Norton's software and list it as running in your "Firewall"
heading. You may also want to use Task Manager or Process Explorer to kill
any other Norton remnants. You may also find two other listings for
"Symantec" located in your "Services". Go to Run, type services.msc and
delete these entries also. When Norton's software "hooks" into something it
doesn't want to let go. I refuse to use Norton/Symantec software because of
this and also because it still remains a resource hog. Also, based upon my
own personal experience I have concluded that their technical support staff
is not very knowledgeable.
