My software won't shut up!

I have Nod 32 installed on my pc and it is alway's telling me that it updated
itself. Well good, isn't that what it is supposed to do? My wife has PC
Cillion and it pop's up a window and updates itself in front of you no matter
what you are doing. Her old laptop has Norton and not only does it tell you
when it updates itself but brags about how safe you are now that it did it's
f%$#ing job! Is there an antivirus out there that just does it's job without
constantly telling me about it? OH, and don't get me started on UAC. I'm the
only one who uses my computer and after what seems like telling Vista 50
times that I'm shure that I want UAC turned off Vista still reminds, no
warnes me, at every boot that it is turned off. Geese this ain't freeware I'm
running. Anyone have a good antivirus that just does it's job?

Yeah, NOD32, the one you're using. Try looking at the product help. You can
easily configure it for silent operation.

In PC-Cillion click on "Other Settings" and then under Automatic Updates
click on "Settings" then select "Do not notify you before starting to
download any defenses or critical software component updates" which
should stop the pop-ups when it updates.

Re: My software won't shut up!

Forget Norton.. re UAC warnings.. go to Control Panel - Security Center..
click once on 'Other Security Settings.. now look to the left and click on
'Change the way Security center alerts me' and check the option that suits
you best..
