If you're using the 64-bit edition of Vista, AVG free does not run in
that version. You'll need to use another antivirus program like Avast
which works fine in x64 versions.

Now if you have the regular 32-bit Vista installed, then like the
others said, the current version of AVG free works fine and you'll
need to provide more information like the error you see when trying to
install.

Re: AVG

I used to use a paid version of AVG and from the start, I was informed by
Vista Home Premium that it was not compatible.

And yes ironically, the free version of Avg is compatible from what I hear.

I switched to Norton 2007 Anti-Virus.

Re: AVG

I've been using the free version of AVG since I got Vista (Vista Home
Premium 32bit), and it is working great.

I wouldn't use AVG if you use Windows Mail. I use free Avast.
