Re: Vista x64 secutiry

Dear dmamwalsh,
Microsoft mostly recommended these companies to use their Antivirus products
with the Vista OS
http://www.microsoft.com/athome/secu...wsvistaav.mspx

Best regards.

Re: Vista x64 secutiry

I, too, am using Avast Antivirus and I am not having a problem getting
updates. I am using Windows Vista x64, as well. Perhaps you should try to
uninstall it, throw the folder away, redownload, and reinstall the product
to see if that fixes it. I hope you figure it out!

Re: Vista x64 secutiry

A good AV is Kaspersky, they have a vista compatable version.

I concur, the free Avast for home users works just fine in the 64-bit
editions. All you need to do is register with a valid email address to
get a key to install it.

i have tried Vista Firewall Control. It's pretty good for a simple 64bit firewall access

Vista Firewall Control : Sphinx Software

Small install and if ou need customization you can get hte Pro version.
